Polishing an historic name to new brilliance, Chasing Silver: The Story of Gorham continues to garner attention for its intricate and intimate storytelling. The Rhode Island PBS Original documentary series received the prestigious Gold Telly Award in the General History category in this year's 43rd Annual Telly Awards. The Gold Telly Award is the highest recognition for excellence, awarded exclusively to the top 3% of winning entries.
"Chasing Silver brings to life a rich, compelling story that might otherwise be lost to time. We are so proud this work has been recognized with a Gold Telly Award," said Rhode Island PBS President David W. Piccerelli.

"Our small but passionate team worked tirelessly through trying times to bring this series to air, and it is the icing on the cake to receive this recognition."

Premiering in May 2021, Chasing Silver: The Story of Gorham highlights the bold ingenuity, brilliant artistry, and storied legacy of the Gorham Manufacturing Company, founded in 1831 in Providence, RI, and growing to the world-renowned designers and producers of silver wares. The Gorham story is presented in three one-hour parts.
Since its broadcast premiere, the series won Best Historical Documentary in the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) 53rd Public Media Awards, followed by a 45th Boston/New England Emmy® Award nomination for Best Historical/Cultural Long-Form Content.
