WICKED in Concert - December 1 at 8 p.m., December 2 at 1 p.m.
Celebrate the return of Broadway with WICKED in Concert, a commemoration of the iconic Broadway score. Co-hosted by WICKED alums, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, musical numbers featured in the star-studded concert include “The Wizard and I,” “Defying Gravity,” “Popular, Wonderful,” “No Good Deed,” “For Good,” and “As Long As You’re Mine.”
Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra Family Christmas Show - December 2 at 8 p.m., December 3 at 1 p.m., December 5 at 8 p.m., December 8 at 9:30 p.m.
In 1967, the same year WSBE Rhode Island PBS began broadcasting, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, along with their respective families, joined together for this memorable Christmas celebration. Not seen in its entirety since its original airing on December 21, 1967, the special features more than a dozen holiday classics, along with medleys of Frank and Dean’s most beloved songs.
Salute to Budapest and Vienna - December 2 at 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy an exuberant celebration of song and dance with works from beloved European composers, including Johann Strauss Jr. and Franz Lehár. Taped in Budapest in 2020, this glorious new production features songs from The Merry Widow and more, along with traditional Hungarian dances and the breathtaking “Blue Danube Waltz.”
Mary Chapin Carpenter: One Lonely Night - December 3 at 9:30 p.m., December 11 at 7 p.m.
Join acclaimed singer-songwriter-musician Mary Chapin Carpenter for a rare solo performance at her favorite venue, Virginia’s legendary Wolf Trap. Filmed in front of an empty house during the pandemic, the concert features selections from her most recent album, The Dirt and The Stars, and songs from throughout her career.
