Gorham Silver Goblets c1977
These goblets were given to me in June of 1977 as a wedding gift. My husband and I used them for our wedding toast on June 11, 1977 at the Rocky Point Windjammer. The goblets were a gift from my sister in law Marcia, an employee of Gorham. The bottom of the goblets is stamped Gorham YC 99.

Gorham Silver Tray - Strasbourg Pattern c1990
In following the Story of Gorham, which I very much enjoyed earlier in the year during my winter on Nantucket Island, as both my mother and my grandmother had Gorham Strasbourg starting from the early 1950's and subsequently I have added various additional place settings, pieces, tea set, serving pieces, and platter/tray...
I have attached a file with photos of my serving tray and the hallmark from the reverse side of my tray. When I purchased this tray in New York in the early 1990's I was told that it was of the Strasbourg pattern.
In this attached file are photos of the tray by itself, the hallmarks, and the tray set as my centerpiece for Thanksgiving tomorrow. (Editor: We used that centerpiece photo as our blog cover.)
As a resident of Nantucket, I am an avid fan of Rhode Island PBS and very much appreciate your programming.

Gorham Silver Flatware - Celeste Pattern c1957
Good Evening. Attached is a photo of our Thanksgiving table and my husband’s place setting.
My Gorham sterling silverware has a lovely history. Some 64 years ago my Aunt Bev took me to Tilden-Thurber one evening to select my silver service. I so remember that my seven year old legs could not reach the rungs on the chair as I viewed such beautifully-designed place settings!
My choice that evening was Celeste which was a fairly new pattern back then. It was considered “space age silver” because it was star-studded and its design was inspired by America’s interest in space at that time. Throughout the years I was gifted individual pieces that eventually became twelve complete place settings and serving pieces!
If given a choice today I know I would select Celeste again for it is understated and timeless!
