In Big Ben: Saving the World’s Most Famous Clock, architectural historian and director of the Landmark Trust Anna Keay takes viewers behind the scenes of the multimillion-pound project. Previously untouched for more than a century, the ongoing project has silenced the tower's bells for the past four years.
Through interviews with Parliament’s principal architect and the three clockmakers set to the task, the documentary series not only reveals the discoveries and challenges of the repair but examines the clock tower’s history and the story of how it was almost never built.
