The year is 1957, and Reverend Will Davenport is getting acclimated with his responsibilities as vicar of Grantchester. His friend, Detective Inspector Geordie Keating, is coming to terms with his wife’s newfound calling. But when a college student is found dead, Will and Geordie must once again join forces to find the perpetrator.
With a broad swath of new mysteries involving drug abuse, racism, infidelity, and mental illness, Geordie’s relationships are strained and Will’s faith is put to the test.
Season 5 of Grantchesterpremieres on August 28 at 9:30 p.m., and will return Fridays at 9 p.m. starting September 18.
