In response to school closures last March, WSBE Rhode Island PBS and WORLD Channel partnered together to support distance learning. On weekdays from noon to 5 p.m., WORLD offered science, history, and English language arts programs, and included related learning resources from PBS LearningMedia.
As Rhode Island moves into the sixth month of the COVID-19 pandemic, and communities prepare for a return to school unlike any other, WSBE Rhode Island PBS will continue to air the educational programming on WSBE Learn, digital 36.2.
Staying consistent with its current scheduling, the At-Home Learning programming will include series such as American Experience, Food: Delicious Science, History Detectives, NOVA, and more.
The mission of Rhode Island PBS has always been to provide the public with accessible, up-to-date learning resources. No matter the structure in which schools return, the station is proud to resume this academic service.
Along with airing WORLD Channel’s programming, which is suitable for both children and adults, associated assets will be provided through PBS LearningMedia.

The special WORLD Channel schedule on WSBE Learn will continue to air noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays until the end of 2020.
